SUMMARY:Mitch White Seminar - Beyond Junior
DESCRIPTION:Beyond Junior\n2 Day Workshop\nWilmington\, OH\nSo\, your pup has earned its Junior Hunter title\, demonstrating its natural ability.  Congratulations!  How do you capitalize on this natural ability and mold it into a real hunting partner or a dog capable of qualifying in Senior Hunt and Master Hunt tests?  Unless you have natural ability\, you will likely need a little guidance — something to draw out and develop your own natural ability\, so to speak. If you want to go beyond a Junior Hunt title for your dog\, join us to learn the from the best at this Mitch White “Beyond Junior” workshop.  This two day workshop will give you the tools you need to achieve your goals. \nAll working spots are now reserved. We are accepting waitlist requests. For this\, please apply for an auditing spot and include a note on your application that you’d like to upgrade to a working spot if one comes available! \nSeminarPremium List\n\n\n\n“The Retriever Workshops are Mitch’s most popular offerings. They are his most intensive\, hands-on programs. The contents of each workshop is personalized based on the individual needs\, goals and interests of each participant. If you want to develop a training plan to help you reach your next goal\, have a problem area you want to address\, or feel you need more work in a particular area to move your training forward\, then this type of workshop for you. He evaluates where each dog/handler team is at in training\, helps them develop an individual training plan and teaches each handler how to implement the plan to achieve success.” \n“Working spots in these workshops are limited so that each dog/handler team will get individual\, intense instruction. Auditors are welcomed and encouraged. You will learn a great deal from watching other dog/handler teams work and Q&A is welcomed from all who attend.” \n\n\n\n  \nWhat is available? Who to contact?\nWorking spots (with your dog) are limited and are available at $250 for non-GCGRC members.  However\, we will accommodate an unlimited number of auditing spots for this Mitch White seminar at $125/person (non-GCGRC member).  Please contact Patty McCabe for GCGRC member costs. \nThis seminar is hosted by GCGRC.  Keep an eye on the Gamekprs website for updates\, or contact Patty McCabe for more information.

DESCRIPTION:Our meetings are open to the general public.  We plan our events (agility trials\, specialties\, WC/WCX) and schedule training days\, and generally have a fun time.  We encourage you to come! \nPresentation\nThis month\, club member Carl Holzhauer will give a seminar on AKC Tracking Title. \nAKC Tracking is a canine sport that demonstrates a dog’s natural ability to recognize and follow a scent\, and is the foundation of canine search and rescue work. In tracking the dog is completely in charge\, because only he knows how to use his nose to find and follow the track. For many\, the greatest pleasure of tracking are the hours spent outside\, training and interacting with their dogs. \nDue to scheduling\, this month’s presentation has changed and has moved to Pet People!  This month\, club member Pam Murn will give a seminar on “Tricks”\, and Tricks Dog Title. \nDo More With Your Dog!® is the only official sanctioning and organizing body for the sport of Dog Tricks. \nDog trainers tend to train the hardest when working toward a goal—it keeps them motivated\, and focused. A Trick Dog title can motivate you by giving you a goal. The Trick Dog title allows you to earn your title on your own time\, in front of a witness. \nTeaching tricks establishes a pattern of learning\, teaches skills and focus\, is a positive method of training\, and promotes a bond between canine and human.
